Deleted torrent reappearing

A torrent which I downloaded over a year ago keeps reappearing in my Transfers list. I deleted the torrent, and the files on my disc, long ago. But every time I open Qbit, it reappears, in red, with an exclamation mark and a "Missing Files" message. I have never seen this behaviour with any other torrent. How can I fully delete this, and ensure that it does not pop up every day?

Select the torrent in the list, go to General tab and note the hash. Then go to the ".torrent files, logs, etc" folder, locate and delete the files with that hash (.fastresume and .torrent if it exists).

I have followed these instructions, but the torrent keeps reappearing. Each time, I delete the (hashtag).fastresume file, but nevertheless as soon as I reopen qBit the torrent reappears, and so does the fastresume file.
