Statistics are not created automatically for VPC styling

What is the bug or the crash?

When I try to style a VPC layer using Attribute by Ramp , min and max values are not automatically populated and hence resulting in empty color ramp. When I set those manually, and then change the styling and then come back, it also shows it as blank.
