Expose start and end date of the current calendar view

We would like to have the start and end date of the calendar view be exposed.
Especially in the month view, it's not easy to determine the first day displayed (can belong to a previous month).
The will help us to fetch events for the current view.
I remember that in the previous version the lastStart attribute can be used.
