As you can see I didn't used heat gun for this build, if you are planning to do this build with those follow this wonderful build log:

SMD components like diodes, capacitors and resistor can be tricky at first, but to make easier first put some solder on one of the component pad and then with a tweezers hold it over the solder and heat the solder to stick the component, proceed to the other contact and solder it normally.
The crystal have a tricky orientation, the text is readable when looking from the microcontroller I added solder in the pad before and then proceeded with the solder iron to meld the solder in the pad bellow it
Beware that the IO Expancer (MCP...) has an specific orientation As you can see the USB-C contacts are very small, be careful and use flux
Mind they have polarity, make sure to match the polarity with PCB, align your as picured bellow.
