How to find open source projects.

Hi Murugesh. I see you're very much actively contributing to open source. I want to be active and contribute like you.
I've 2 questions from which 1 is out of the discussion category. I thought to write in this discussion only as it would be irrelevant to make another discussion.

1. How to find open source projects.
2. What technologies should I grab for a software developer job.
3. Also plz explain how GSOC works.

1. How to find open-source projects.

   It really depends on what your interests are.

   There is no definitive answer to this, however my recommendation is to use GitHub's https://github.com/topics and https://github.com/trending to filter out what interests you.

   If you are just getting started read this: https://opensource.guide first, and then use https://up-for-grabs.net to filter types of issues you would like to contribute to.

   Above everything, do not procrastinate. Just go for it. You never know your contributions might end up on the mars.

2. What technologies should I grab for a software developer job.

   This is a common pitfall for most.

   Do not chase a technology or a framework. Learn one language or tool and be good at it. You can always apply your experience learning a tool or language to other. Trust your knowledge and learn to reinforce your understanding on how something works. Start with anything that you enjoy: JavaScript, C++, Python, whatever you enjoy (or you think you will enjoy).

   And if you feel lost use this excellently curated roadmap: https://roadmap.sh to put you on the right track, the community has done a great job of curating this.

3. Also please explain how GSoC works.

   GSoC - or Google Summer of Code is a Google sponsored program for students. Essentially you get a chance to work on a real world open-source project as an intern.

I'm also interested in AI. I'm a fresher. Can you suggest some resources where I can get a complete guide for AI? I apply for many jobs and internships but cannot pass or cannot complete the assignments. Can you suggest sites for applying for internships and jobs other than famous websites like LinkedIn and Internshala.

To be honest, I am not the best person to ask about AI and ML. You should probably checkout some of our (freeCodeCamp.org)'s courses on YouTube as a starting point and definitely sign up on the forum, which is a great place to ask about this.
