Recent changes with pcam_priority_override(...) are breaking?

Maybe there was something I missed, but using the latest changes for this add-on, I noticed a significant number of errors when trying to run and build.

Reverting back to the latest release in github fixed this.

Seemed to be causing a lot of issues.

Wanted to know if this was an issue for anyone else before I dug a bit deeper to investigate.

When you say latest, do you mean the latest git commit?

Right. Latest commit to main.

The general of thumb for repositories is that branches, including main, should be considered work-in-progress. So it's not something one ought to use unless they want to use bleeding edge / unstable versions.

The official releases, and betas if so inclined, are the ones people should be using as they have been more thoroughly tested and is meant to be stable.

Is also referenced on the installation documentation page.

For the exact issue you mentioned, that has been the priority since the most recent commit, and is working locally - just need further testing and a few minor tweaks.

Gotcha. Been using godotenv to manage addons like phantom camera. Only recently discovered you can specify tags to pull down.

But this is good to know. I haven't come across breaking changes like this before for this addon, so wasn't 100% if it was normal or not.

Typically, commits in the repo are fairly stable; or at least I try to make them be. One of the recent commits (#461) had a lot of under-the-hood-changes. So it was merged semi-complete as to not make a too big to manage PR, and so splitting the work into different commits; that has been the exception rather than the norm.

fwiw the addon does also have a built-in updater, so you can also use that to stay up-to-date with future releases.
