Custom Fields must be defined in schema files

Currently, custom fields on each endpoint must be specifically defined in the schema file in order to be retrieved with the tap. This presents a limitation as most users will have different custom fields. This there a workaround to retrieve the entire custom field object, regardless of the properties?
