Auto detect JDK from system path

Hi,

I use pkgx to install Java:

https://pkgx.dev/
https://pkgx.dev/pkgs/openjdk.org/

$ pkgx install openjdk.org@21

$ which java
/home/felipecrs/.local/bin/java

$ java --version
openjdk 21.0.3 2024-04-16
OpenJDK Runtime Environment [email protected] (build 21.0.3+6)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM [email protected] (build 21.0.3+6, mixed mode, sharing)

But unfortunately the extension doesn't auto-detect it.

I can manually set it like:

"java.configuration.runtimes": [
  {
    "name": "pkgx-openjdk-21",
    "path": "/home/felipecrs/.pkgx/openjdk.org/v21.0.3.6",
    "default": true
  },
]

But it's cumbersome as I would need to change this setting every time I upgrade JDK or reinstall with a different version.

I wonder why not add auto-detection mechanism to the extension? Example:

$ java -XshowSettings:properties -version 2>&1 | grep -w 'java.home' | awk '{print $3}'
/home/felipecrs/.pkgx/openjdk.org/v21.0.3.6
