- Your operating system name and version.
- Any details about your local setup that might be helpful in troubleshooting.
- Detailed steps to reproduce the bug.

orsopy could always use more documentation, whether as part of the official orsopy docs, in docstrings, or even on the web in blog posts, articles, and such.

- Keep the scope as narrow as possible, to make it easier to implement.

Ready to contribute? Here's how to set up orsopy for local development.
Fork the orsopy repo on GitHub.
Clone your fork locally:
$ git clone [email protected]:your_name_here/orsopy.git
Install your local copy into a virtualenv. Assuming you have virtualenvwrapper installed, this is how you set up your fork for local development:
$ mkvirtualenv orsopy $ cd orsopy/ $ python setup.py develop
Create a branch for local development:
$ git checkout -b name-of-your-bugfix-or-feature
Now you can make your changes locally.
When you're done making changes, auto format the code and check that your changes pass the unit tests and confirms to PEP 8:

To get flake8 and tox, just pip install them into your virtualenv.
Commit your changes and push your branch to GitHub:

Submit a pull request through the GitHub website.

Before you submit a pull request of your feature branch against the main branch of the orsopy repository, check that it meets these guidelines:
- If the pull request adds functionality, the docs should be updated. Put your new functionality into a function with a docstring, and add the feature to the list in README.rst.
- The pull request should include tests for the new functionality. Run the tests in your local machine with pytest.
- The pull request should work for Python 3.6, 3.7 and 3.8-latest, and for PyPy. To make sure that the tests pass for all supported Python versions, you can first create a pull request of your feature branch against the main branch _of your forked repository_. If the Github actions pass, it is highly likely that the GitHub actions will also pass for the pull request against the main branch of the orsopy repository.
To run a subset of tests:

A reminder for the maintainers on how to deploy:
- Update schema file using python tool/header_schema.py
- Update version string in orsopy/__init__.py
- Make sure all your changes are committed (including an entry in HISTORY.rst)
- Tag the commit with vX.Y.Z
- Push your changes to your fork (e.g. release branch)
- Create a pull requrest including the label release and get reviewer approval
GitHub actions will then deploy to PyPI if tests pass.
