Every newcomer is asked several times, usually by different agencies and public services, about their professional background and skills. Collecting data on asylum seekers background and having more details about their competences can help institution and agencies such as Arbetsförmedlingen, Försäkringskassan, Kommun and Landsting to be more efficient at establishing newcomers as active people in their new home. When asylum seekers backgrounds and skills are no longer verbal but documented and accessible, employers as well can reach to them and make them feel valuable and alive again.
- Refugees are asked different times about their background, by different agencies in very inefficient ways.
- The information that are collected on refugees are sometimes misused or even non- used.
- The information collected is not available to agencies to which it is relevant.
- The tools used to collect information is very primary and neglects a lot of aspects.
- Transparency in all levels.
- Security to information provider (refugees), and ethics respect from information user (employer, agencies)
- Employers often miss the opportunity of using a range of competence that asylum seekers have.
- Digital information.
- Reminders & notifications can be sent to refugees who want to be reached if opportunities corresponding to their talents show.
- Privacy.
- Skills of asylum seekers.
- Foreign degree and their validations/equivalency.
- The data shall be used, updated and searchable.
- Show the range of professional quality in the range of refugees.
- Provide employer the opportunity to reach refugees that correspond to profiles they need.
- Employment Agencies, Stockholm city / Municipalities, County Councils, County Administrative Boards and employers seeking skills
- Different image of refugees in the labour market, and in the eyes of the whole Swedish society.
- Lower overqualification rates for foreign born people.
