Is there a way to save formattable to pure html, not through htmlwidgets? #157

I have tried using the method described in the other post which uses htmlwidgets::saveWidget. However, the saved file is not a clean html which I can copy and insert to an existing html document.

I am wondering, is it possible that the formatted table can be saved into pure html (html + css), without javascript?
