is NMF able to take advantage of the Neural Engine or GPU on Apple Silicon chips?

for various reasons, we're looking to get a mac studio with m2 ultra chip as a workstation for running bioinformatics workflows which include running NMF thru this package.
i havent found great sources of information for whether certain programs can actually take advantage of the NE/GPU.
