Diagram won't collapse to edit link

Hi,

I have a page which contains a diagram and when editing the page I no longer see the 'edit diagram' link or the yellow button to expand the code but rather the raw code for the diagram inside diagram tags as in the screenshot. The diagram shows correctly on both the rendered page and the preview pane when editing.

I have tried

• different browser
• flushing local cache
• duplicating page and removing all content other than diagram

...none of which worked. Adding a second diagram to the page works fine and I'm the site admin so have all relevant permissions.

What would cause this to happen? I need to be able to edit the diagram in the future.

My advice is to try deleting the keyword diagram after backticks then writing it in again.

that seems strange to me. you said adding a second diagram works though?

• try copy pasting the entire base64 contents of the diagram and paste it into a new file diagram.base64 on your device.
• run the contents through a base64 decoder like this cat diagram.base64 | base64 -d > diagram.svg, that should yield a svg file.
• after that open a new diagram on your page and File > Import from device... and select your diagram.svg.

Thank you that has worked fine! Interestingly the base64 now differs and has slightly less characters as if something got added to the original somehow, strange!
