Is this what I've been waiting my whole life for?

Are you anticipating extensions coming into play?

For instance:
I'm very genre oriented. And I never can sort through my music the way I want to.

Examples:

Store tags/keywords and let me organize by them
Timeline view, see all albums when they were released
Browse top down through genres. Once I'm in "new age" I don't want to see anything else. Similar to the old 3 column browser but, more of an app context
Browse playlists by album (I know it's possible now but it's not ideal)

Will these kinda things be possible through a typescript extension ala vscode? Or am I dreaming
