What's happening to Scientific Linux after SL7?

It looks like SL7 is going to be the last release of Scientific Linux, Ive been looking for a docker image to test apache2buddy against for a while, but revisiting this, I found this announcement today:

https://listserv.fnal.gov/scripts/wa.exe?A2=SCIENTIFIC-LINUX-ANNOUNCE;11d6001.1904

TLDR;

"Toward that end, we will deploy CentOS 8 in our scientific computing environments rather than develop Scientific Linux 8."

Hope that explains it - those in the SL community probably already knew this.

Apache2buddy will continue to support SL7 so long as its not EOL, and will likely be dropped when CentOS 7 goes EOL.
