youtube won't play when qjackctl is open

if I have qjackctl open and try to play a youtube video. the video will never load. If i already have the video playing and open qjack, the video freezes.

edit: I forgot to mention I'm on Mint 20.1, Cinnamon version 4.8.6, and generic linux kernal 5.4.0-73

old issue pertaining to JACK not necessarily to qjackctl...

what you need is a pulseaudio bridge, perhaps... if that's the case then install jackd2 and pulseaudio-module-jack, and restart first pulseaudio (pulseaudio -k) and the start jackd(bus) thru qjackctl (JACK D-BUS interface must be enabled though, cf qjackctl > Setup > Misc).
