I don't know how doable it would be, but I think a chapter on a small version of SSH would be great.

What level would you implement this at? If it's the protocol level (key exchange) and it relies on an existing libraries to authenticate keys, I could see that being doable.

I don't have any specifics in mind about the implementation, but that does sound like a good direction. I'm not necessarily claiming writing this one so anyone else is welcome to pick it up.
