The version of the ROR schema and/or API you are using: unknown.
Describe the problem you would like to solve
French research laboratories have typically more than one affiliation (universities and research institutions). When publishing scientific papers, the researchers affiliated to these laboratories are required to furnish a very precise string representing their affiliation, which will appear aside to their names in the paper title section. For instance, I am a member of the Laboratoire de Psychologie and NeuroCognition, which is associated with both the CNRS and the University Grenoble Alpes. I am required to furnish this precise string as my affiliation: “Univ. Grenoble Alpes, CNRS, LPNC, Grenoble, France” (see, for instance, this paper).
Describe the solution you'd like
Add a new field to the data model, for inclusion of the affiliation string.
Who would benefit from this feature?
It would be great if journals could automatically get this string from the ROR. This will simplify things for both authors and editors, besides avoiding error that annoy our institutions.
