Searching through rejected submissions #2712

@Sociologix All of our declined requests are in a corresponding column on our project board, which is public, but I'm not certain that the GitHub API supports retrieving this data for users outside the organization. I pulled a report with the issues from this column for your review, it case it is all helpful. In the case of universities, the most common reason a request is declined is because the record already exists in ROR. There are only a few circumstances where we would not add a new university record (e.g. its a brand new organization or has no documented research outputs), so in most cases, just seeing whether the organization exists on our site should suffice. You can likewise search the issues in this repository for the organization and see whatever curation work has been done on the record. |

Hello,
I notice that there is a list of rejected submissions in the ROR git. Wondering if there is an easy way to search through this list of rejected universities that have been submitted and vetted by ROR so that we can do an early check to make sure we aren't resubmitting?
On that note, it could be a good idea to have at the top of the submission page, first thing, a search box where we can input the university we're thinking of submitting and it will query against the ROR list of already rejected universities being kept track of. If it finds a fuzzy match, could prompt that the university has already been rejected for x,y,z reasons.
Thanks for all the great work on this repository.
