- 2.5 T Tapioca
- 1 c sugar
- 1/4c fresh orange juice
- 1/4t salt
- 1/4t pepper
- 3c cut rhubarb
- 1.5-2 c sliced strawberries
- 1T butter
- 2c flour
- 1t salt
- 3/4c crisco
- 5T cold water
- In a large bowl, combine rhubarb, tapioca, sugar, salt, pepper and orange juice
- Place in pastry-lined 9 inch pie plate
- Place sliced strawberries on top (cover the entire top so you can barely see the rhubarb!)
- Dot with butter
- Cover with pastry (lattice crust recommended!)
- Bake at 400F for 50-60 minutes
