Assigning Profiles to buttons in X-Touch mini

3 questions:

1. To assign a Profile to a button in X-Touch, is it best to choose "Profiles" from the list and then select "Profile: x"? I've used Carsten Schlipf's Configuration file to get me started, and when I look under the hood to see what he's done , I don't see any "Profile: x" in how he's assigned/mapped options--like there's some other command that he uses for switching Profiles, and I can't see what it is, because

--I notice that, for example, "Detail: Show Detail" can in essence serve as a switch over to the "Detail.xml" profile...is that because that is what the "Show X" options are supposed to do, or is it that that command is supposed to show the Detail panel in LR, and then that is what triggers the Detail profile to become active?

2. when I push a button that would normally highlight in MIDI2LR what function is assigned to that button, it instantly switches me over to the new profile, without my getting to see what assigned button it was! (as in the new Profile displays, with all its mapping. I need to know which Note it was, so I can re-map it)

Problems solved. I started all from scratch and it went much better!
