Offers simple, flexible tools for working with JSON in R, and is particularly powerful for building pipelines and interacting with a web API. The implementation is based on the mapping described in the vignette (Ooms, 2014). In addition to converting JSON data from/to R objects, 'jsonlite' contains functions to stream, validate, and prettify JSON data. The unit tests included with the package verify that all edge cases are encoded and decoded consistently for use with dynamic data in systems and applications.",

Title, Authors, Maintainer, and Description are not necessary for hashing, as they do not communicate anything about package dependencies.
What about SystemRequirements and NeedsCompilation?

FWIW if we change the fields that get included in the hash, then we'll invalidate any old hash values. We could still do this, but we'd probably want to do something to either notify users or allow them to choose.
Ultimately though, we want to include fields which would help to uniquely identify a package from its DESCRIPTION file, hence why those (and not just the package dependency fields) are included.

Also wonder if we should leave Depends, Imports, Suggests and LinkingTo as single strings, or if we should split into separate fields (one per declared dependency). Splitting might be useful for viewing dependencies at a glance? |

Very separate from this PR, but it sparked my curiosity: I can see that renv doesn't have any lower bound R version constraint. For most packages I've worked on they've adopted something like the tidyverse's four versions which would mean we wouldn't need to keep this around (IIRC it was released in 3.3).
But maybe the goal for renv is to be compatible back to very very early versions of R? I could see that being helpful for using renv to help modernize old projects. Is that right?
Closes #2057.
Should we still include a Hash field in the lockfile, or should we recompute hashes on the fly? This mainly comes to mind as the hash would be invalid if the lockfile's fields were changed by a user.
I also wonder if there are any DESCRIPTION fields that we should exclude from the lockfile -- for example, fields like Packaged, Built, and Date/Publication, since those will differ depending on where and how the package was built. (A common request for users was to make sure that packages installed from CRAN, and packages installed from P3M, produced otherwise identical lockfile records.)
Should we include the exact, raw, contents of the DESCRIPTION fields in the lockfile (including newlines)? Or is it okay to normalize that whitespace? (In any case, it does not affect the hash.)
