Something simple which could just listen to events on the bus and then post things using the checks API.

I do not know much of rust, but I could use this as a learning opportunity

Hiya! To be honest this ticket was definitely created as a placeholder, I definitely need to define the interface a bit more in order for a contributor to take on.

What we're missing right now to would be:

  • Definition of what events would be coming over the eventbus
  • Where the service would be getting its GitHub API token from

Oh okay, I was just getting my hands dirty with rust. If you could label some issues as something a beginner could undertake, I would be more than happy to give it a shot.

@sladyn98 sure thing! While I lurk in #otto on Freenode, the ##rust channel is a great place to hang out as a beginner
