The UI can certainly be built on it's own; the README documents that.

I haven't tested this, but the routes hash contains the objects that we use to build the URLs. It's the standard Node url object, so you can probably set a host key in there. Give that a shot and let me know!

Anything interesting? As an orthogonal question, I'm locally testing out how changing the JS code over to TypeScript would look. Would that help/hurt/unchange your ability to contribute?

I had an idea of making the panes resizable by dragging.

I don't actually know how I'm going to do it yet anyway! But if it's going to stay with React, then it shouldn't be a problem.

Cool! You can see my WIP for that over in the resize-windows branch. I don't even remember what the current ugly parts were. :-)
