"config" file disappeared

I was backing up to a S3 idrive to test rustic (just some files with a 10Gb free account) and 2 days ago it started failing:

data, index, and snapshots folders are there. I don't use this bucket for anything else; could this be a rustic bug? I doubt iDrive is loosing files.

mm... I created a rule to permanently delete files after 90 days; it should only had effect on deleted elements, but I may have configured it wrong; can this be regenerated in any way?
