Framerate on volume meters is very low

The framerate on volume meters is quite low in comparison to pavucontrol. This doesn't really affect the applications goal that much but it is an annoyance visually. The biggest issue this has is mainly seeing latency between sinks. Setting this to match VSync or at minimum doubling the current framerate would be very appreciated.
