While multiaddonmanager downloads the model directly from the workshop for clients ask .vpk file, how should it look on the server?

First of all should i put .vpk file on the server or characters/..../model.vmld_c

If i should put .vpk file on the server, should config file be item.vpk/characters/.../model.vmdl_c(or .vmdl) or it should ignore item.vpk and directly go characters/.../model.vmdl_c(or .vmdl)

And the second question, where should it be located on the server? In the root folder or something like models/....
