Today I am sharing some tips for starting open-source :

1. Try to learn some technologies in which are you interested
2. Learn about git and github
3. Don't start with big projects start with small projects .
4. Starting open-source means you can create some issues , change some documentation and many things.
5. At the starting start my reading the contributing guidelines.
6. Make sure to commit message in a effecient way .
7. Make PR and give the link of PR in the issues section
