Feedback on first print of Ventilator_SinglePart #13
Comments
The large enclosed ventilator piece has excess water left in it as you can see from the photo. As well I think we'd do better to move onto the assembled version since we wouldn't need to print interior supports. However we'd need a way to seal it and I don't think we've got any medical grade glues or sealants. |
Thanks for the update. The plugs need to be made slightly smaller? can you let me know what the tolerance should be? Also can you send me images images of the interior supports? |
Let's get feedback from the Ochsner doc before we provide info that we are guessing about re: tolerances. |
I sealed this with silicone in the channels. We could adapt the 2 piece design to have one side slide on. The 2 piece design would be necessary if I can successfully make the the butterfly valve version as you would need to get into the device to install the pieces. Let me know your thoughts on this. I also have |
I have sent these to Monark to print. Here are two new cap designs, one is 15.5 mm giving us a .5mm tolerance and one that is 15mm giving us a 1 mm tolerance |
Nima,

The pieces all meet specs. The big issues are that the design doesn't give any room for the tolerance. The cap and the pipe it fits into are both 16mm diameter. As well while I can remove the interior supports, it's not pretty and I worry regarding any loose material that might end up stuck in there that could break free while in use
