Cannot confirm, works on my laptop running Fedora 30

Same problem in Fedora 31.

journalctl /usr/bin/gnome-shell -f -o cat

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/home/thomas/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/[email protected]/connmgr.py", line 20, in <module>
    import gi
ImportError: No module named gi

WORKAROUND: sudo dnf install pygobject3

on debian/ubuntu the package is probably python3-gi
