We're experiencing the following error related to a specific PDF file. Unfortunately, we can't provide the file.

Presumably this particular PDF is out of spec. Try opening it in Adobe Acrobat and see if there are any warning or error messages.

Please confirm what happens to the document when run with Scribe.js aside from these messages being printed. It is possible for the repairing PDF document warning message to be printed for a document where text is extracted correctly.
