[SOLVED] Failed to process Plex media

Just posting a discussion I had on discord with @samwiseg0 in case anyone else is having the same issue:

Loving overseerr but am noticing some strange error messages in the logs that I'd like to check with you guys.

2021-08-24T22:40:16.708Z [error][Plex Scan]: Failed to process Plex media {"errorMessage":"Unable to find TMDb ID","title":"Episode 3"}

My connection to plex seems to be working and it shows a successful connection when refreshing in the plex settings section. I couldn't find anything related on github discussions. The overseerr instance is running on docker.

Answer

What that means is that it ran across an episode that is missing its metadata/does not have a TMDb ID. You can ignore it or try and track it down. You would have to find everything named episode 3. There is no easy way at the moment.
