will requesting an entire show include future seasons?

Hey guys,

I'm developing a little script that can use overseerrs api to download requested movies and shows.

I've been wondering for a while wether or not a requests "seasons" attribute will update once new seasons for a show come out, if the request included "all" seasons when it was made. Since this doesn't happen all that often, I was wondering if anyone has tried this out.

I'm not talking about sonarr/radarr taking over the monitoring of a show, I'm strictly talking about the overseerr API updating the "seasons" attribute of an existing request.

I hope the question is clear, I'm happy to elaborate if needed.
