Any chance this functionality might make it into a future release at some point? I've noticed it's rather stale, but it's one of the features I need the most when using Overseerr.... Declining user requests and not having the ability to tell them why is greatly frustrating to my users. This wouldn't be a very hard implementation would it? |

This would be huge for me. A lot of my friends think everything they see on overseerr is available (despite my best efforts to explain to them that items may not be). Being able to decline for a reason would prevent some angry text messages :D |
Apparently, it's not that important. At least that's what the label says. This is a great pity, the desire for this function has existed for a very long time. |
Updooted. @sct - If you could point us in the direction where this kind of feature would need to be developed, I for one, would be happy to contribute some nerd time to develop this feature? |

It looks like @KyleKincer has a PR out there that has been sitting awaiting review for 3 months? What is the hold up? #3714 |

No
Describe the solution you'd like
A way to add a optional message when declining a request that will be passed to the notification to the end user so they know the reason for declining the request.
Describe alternatives you've considered
