Sometimes we don't want a colorbar (or a specific colorbar for an element). A feature to add would be to allow to disable specific colobars.
I suggest to add a parameter colorbar: bool=True to each pl.render_xxx() function.
colorbar: bool=True
pl.render_xxx()
