interference with Typo3 on Chrome

A user reports: "Ich muss berufliche ein CMS auf Typo3-Basis befüllen.
Dort ging plötzlich der Login mit Chrome nicht mehr, aber mit Edge und Firefox. Angeblich Passwort falsch.
Nach längerer Suche stellte sich heraus, dass die Extension detektIIIF2 das Problem war. Sobald die abgeschaltet war, lief es.
Ich weiß nicht, was da passierte, aber mir gefällt nicht, dass die in einem Login-Vorgang interferiert."

After first investigation this bug could not be reproduced with a Typo3 8 system I had at hand. The user reported the problem would occur with Typo3 6, so I will try this next.
