Maximum character limit?

Hey, am a total noob at this so please bear with me.

I am running Hyprland on Arch Linux and had problems copying from OnlyOffice App to vim. Installing a clipboard manager was recommended so I did.

I had it configured with a wofi keybinding.

I copied about 2700 emails, but when I went to paste it into vim, only 2300 something would get pasted and the last of them was clipped short.

I tested a few scenarios:

Scenario #1: copy from onlyoffice to vim without cliphist --> does not work at all

Scenario #2: copy from onlyoffice to vim with cliphist --> works, but data gets clipped

Scenario #3: copy the same data from Kate to vim --> works flawlessly.

So am guessing the clipping happens when am taking the data from OnlyOffice. Is this something I can resolve with cliphist? Or is that entirely OnlyOffice issue?

if you do a wl-paste -w cat, leave it running, then do the copy, is the output in the terminal truncated?
