Feature request: highlight entire line

Hi - firstly, thanks for a really useful extension.

Is it possible to add an option to highlight the entire line (maybe with a less opaque background colour) if it contains trailing spaces? I use a very small font and quite often I miss single trailing spaces, and unfortunately I can't use trim on save because it's legacy code base meaning we need to keep changes to a minimum.
