Shardus is building a sharded distributed ledger designed to remedy the problems of traditional blockchains — scalability, decentralization, security and long term sustainability. Each marginal node added to the Shardus network will linearly increase the throughput and storage of the network, simultaneously facilitating instant transaction finality while maintaining maximum decentralization!

The Liberdus payment network and cryptocurrency will be the first application of Shardus technology, and will be designed to accommodate billions of daily active users and can be applied to many future global-scale decentralized applications.
