Planetary overmaps - Each planet (formerly known as planetoids due to being incredibly small) has it's own small "overmap" that you can traverse by land vehicle or such, with ruins being randomly placed similar to how the current space overmap is laid out. |

Storage system - Uses the same code as bags (chem bags, construction bags, etc.) but allows for the fuzzy stacking of any object that is large or smaller. Has an upper limit to how much of each type of object can be stored, and how many different types of objects can be stored, both of which can be increased with upgrades. Also you can dump bags into it for easy cleaning. Also maybe the ability to broom stuff in somehow? |

Emergency repairs kit Inflatable walls, duct tape, that kind of stuff. Shit to repair a breach fast. Also make duct tape actually obtainable other than needing it to be mapped in. |

a way to actually get oxygem reliably by like, shoving ice from icemoon planets into a machine that turns it into oxygen (and maybe hydrogen but I dont think we have that) |

it'd be interesting to give players ways to trade with each other outside of setting up elaborate tele systems or physically navigating to the same tile. what if we added trading posts that could be visited in space that allow players to exchange goods with crews on other posts easily? |

A potential intents rework? Help is help and harm is harm. those are self-explanatory let people bind selecting an intent to use for left click to different keys? default would be help 1 alt action 2 grab 3 harm 4 ctrl + click would be able to do everything grab intent does now "alt action" moved to right click, context menu moved to shift + right click, togglable option to swap these. (maybe let people specify what action should be taken on right click? which could be any of the intents or the context menu) |

Binoculars or their analogues should be craftable either in crafting menu or on the autolathe instead of being exclusive to the ships that have detective offices |

Research AlternativeBiology Samples: Dissections can be extremely repetitive and somewhat annoying to do since you have to drag every body you find back to your ship's medbay. An alternative to this could be done in the form of sampling. When you find a cadaver, you can take a sample from it using a sampling kit (specialized syringe). This sample can then either be put in a deconstructive analyzer to print out research notes, or more time can be taken to get bonus points by using an EXPERIMENTOR or running the sample through a spectrograph machine. Dissection surgery will be a means of getting richer sample from a body, with each upgrade of the surgery allowing for better samples. If dissection surgery would rather be replaced, then the research can instead unlock more effective sampling kits. This gives people a means of collecting data without having to bring a body back, while giving additional rewards to those who put in more time into testing and collecting. |

Research AlternativeSurvey Drone: Surveys, at the moment, require a person to literally sit still and do nothing for several minutes on end. Not much fun for the person doing the surveying. This alternative is a means of making the surveying process more involved while still preserving it's somewhat passive nature. Survey drones are a printable device that can be deployed in space or on planets to generate a set number of passive research points. The survey handheld would be replaced by this, or they could co-exist with the drone being the automated alternative. Drones will come in the same tiers as the survey handhelds, with each one having the same bonuses as their handheld counterparts (Faster points, higher point cap) The drone, once printed, would first need to be linked with a multitool to the research server. After which, it will need to be taken to some place with no interference, activated, and then left to collect data. The drone will collect the survey data, then send it to the research server once it reaches the point cap. It will produce the same amount of data as the handheld without the need for babysitting. However, there can be things that effect the data collection speed. Objects like walls, ceilings, and machines being close to the device will interfere with its equipment and slow the point generation, and the drone will be temporarily offline during weather events. This means players will have to take note of where they deploy the drone, along with having to deal with potentially hostile weather. The payoff though is a means of producing passive research without needing to sit completely still for several minutes on end. |

Research AlternativeTech disks galore: In short, being a science-inclined ship isn't that fun, with most of the currently available options involving close to no risks (stand around and S U R V E Y/D I S S E C T) nor fun/variety in gameplay (see previous example). Hence, an easy alternative to incentivize both exploration, player cooperation and getting science at the same time would be throwing randomly generated disks with as random-yet-good'ish tech around the dungeons, as well as more frequently appearing research point disks, with a fairly good amount of those being available per disk (10k+? 20k+? I dunno what would be a good amount tbqh) so research isn't purely determined by RNG. |

Being in the same tile as the sun or being near said tile should heat air and make random fire spread around your ship, and you should be able to dock in the sun to do the equivalent of flying straight into the sun and immediately dying |

Ideas stolen from Titan fall and etc Make positronic brained Mechs able to be piloted by people and when the person loses consciousness or ejects control goes back to the mech. (Maybe also a special equipment that takes up an equipment slot and allows the mech to pick up anyone who's DNA locked to it). Mech Repainter: make the major colors of a mech chromatic so we can choose the color of the mech (maybe the same for borgs so each borg can be unique to their ship). Titanfall console and machine: Take it from TG, except make it one way and only able to Titanfall on planets you are floating over. This is for dropping a mech on a planet. I just think that's cool, if you want to have a way for it to go back to the ship with a long loading reverse titanfall (that would only work if the planet is overhead) that's up to you. On the positronic brain note, there needs to be a new method to install laws to brains and AIs. I think adding a secondary access to ID's should do the trick. Let me explain: Similar to how having access to HOP room gives you HOP room access, there should be a secondary lock on your ID and all the airlocks on your ship, and the only way to grant this would be another computer that could take the place of the old auto pilot computer. Call this the Ship HUB for now. Maybe Frankenstein it from the computer console board. This secondary computer should have the ability to give or add access to airlocks to your ship, upload and delete your AI laws, have a Dossier of every crewmate that joins your Crew, change job names and modify ID's, and replace the green panel next to the cryo spawn. Hell, it should even have the AI stored into it, instead of having the AI in a big screen you should have them on the computer and manifest themselves as a little hologram like the personal AI so it can move around the ship without the need for cameras. Now, where do Positronic brains come in? If you swipe your ID on the activated brain (or the brain onto the screen) it could register into the ship hub, where it has the default laws on, you can edit each brains laws to your liking or leave them to the default. |

To make humans less baseline, maybe other species should treat certain chems that don't affect humans as much (capsaicin, theobromine, caffeine) as toxic in certain ways? |
