Cilium DNS Host Issue

Description

I have cilium installed as my CNI and everything works, however I have some pods that need to do external dns queries and for some reason they aren't working. I tried the config in #8836 but it still doesn't work for me, I did have to slightly modify that config anyway when installing using helm. Just wondering if anyone could help?

You can also disable Talos host DNS feature as a workaround: https://www.talos.dev/v1.8/talos-guides/network/host-dns/#forwarding-kube-dns-to-host-dns, flip it to forwardKubeDNSToHost: false.
