sifteo resurrected #6

We also have provided the sifteo cubes on the amazon at a cheaper price. And we are writing more sifteo games. |
That IS good to know. Please post here, or contact me, and I will add these resources to my page, as well as disseminating in the usual channels. Thanks Michael! |
Any update on the new games? |
Sorry about the delay and disappearance of my Sifteo support page; due to an ISP error the domain was not renewed when it should have been, and I’ve been fighting ever since to get the domain name back :-(Fortunately, all fixed now. However, I will need to revisit the instructions, after doing a clean install on my Windows 10 machine, to see if anything has broken. I’ve been informed that latest build of MacOS has caused issues with my ‘hack’ and so it is possible that the same may have happened for Win10. Fortunately, there are (for PC users initially) new installers for my hacked versions of Siftrunner and Sifteo Sync, which automate the process of editing the Registry to get the Apps to run offline, and to install all the commercially released games into the right location; games I was given permission to upload by the IP owners BTW. These will even work with the new Joyscubes; them having adapted my original clunky hack, which I have now improved upon. Mac users will have to wait until I can get access to a Mac that is running the latest OS, sorry. |

"I’d like to humbly announce the following page: http://doctormikereddy.com/sifteo-resurrecting-a-legend/ which contains a (growing) number of resources for those people lucky enough to own (or unlucky enough to have recently bought second hand) the wonderful Sifteo Cubes; either V1 with the dongle, or V2 with the base station. On that site you can download the software (with hacks to get it to run without the long gone sifteo.com server), all the games officially released, and SDKs to make your own, either for physical cubes or for the simulators. There will be more to come, including how to set up the SDKs - for now there are a few sites still out there on Google - and how to make games for this unique platform. Thank you for your patience!"
Hopefully, this will serve to provide practical guides and resources for those wanting to use these amazing devices, and open source tools.
DoctorMike
