A quote from the documentation:
http://slides.sikuli.org/docs/recorder/

"On Mac/Linux
Press [Ctrl-Shift-2] to start recording
Press [Ctrl-Shift-ESC] to stop recording
"

It would be nice to have a command line option for specifying the start and stop keyboard sequence.
Right now I have problems starting the recorder. Maybe the Ctrl-Shift-2 is caught by some other program on my Ubuntu 14.04 (Unity desktop).

Also having problems in Windows 8. Alt-Shift-Esc is a default combination that switches between windows, so recording does not finish.
