I have noticed that neither the i18n folder nor the localization folder of SILE contains any support for Cantonese or the various Standards of Written Chinese. What will it take for these languages to be "added" to SILE? (I put "added" in quotation marks as I myself do not know what that exactly should mean) |

The i18n folder just has localized strings for bits of things SILE might add to a document, such as language specific headers for "Table of Contents" or the word "Chapter" that might be prefixed to chapter numbers in the book class. The only thing required to add support for new languages is somebody needs to submit a file with the relevant strings for a given language code. |
