Unable to access Sync mode outside VPN

Hello,

I have a Docker setup of SilverBullet on debian, that I can access with my own domain name. My reverse-proxy is Caddy. It is only accessible on my VPN network via Tailscale. Accessing my domain name without the VPN just throws an error 403. My problem is, when I'm connected to the internet but not to the VPN, I can't access nor modify my notes on SilverBullet anymore, I get this error :

You are not authenticated, going to reload and hope that that kicks off authentication

and the page keeps reloading without giving me access. Disabling my internet connection triggers sync mode just fine. What I wanted was a feature to trigger an "offline mode" manually, or to be able to access SilverBullet even without the VPN. I'm using PWA with chromium.My problem looks like this one #947 except I never seem to enter Sync mode.
