I have recently had some good discussions with @JaredHatfield from GE Appliances/Haier and some of his colleagues. They have expressed a willingness to work with the community to help facilitate integration into Home Assistant. Some of the topics discussed include:
Providing access to documentation
Updating and providing access to the developer center (i.e. individual OAuth clients)
Providing assistance with the API, including potentially new versions as they are released
Some of these may take quite a while and there may be some transitory steps that need to be taken to get there. For now, things will be status quo as they work through what is/is not possible for them to do.
One of the things that they are concerned about is the level of reconnects occurring since the release of Home Assistant 2023.6, which is the version that changed to Python 3.11. If the integration is not working for you in the newest versions, please try the troubleshooting steps, and if those don't work, please remove/disable the integration. If we can't get the churn down a bit, they will be forced to take actions to help manage their server load. I will be updating the clients to not attempt to reconnect as much; however, any older clients will still have the old behavior that is problematic. We would really appreciate anything you could do to help GE maintain its infrastructure and keep this integration available to all.
