But first I have to find out how one can write tests for a shiny gadget. The info on the shiny website at https://shiny.rstudio.com/articles/testing-overview.html only addresses testing of shiny apps.

There is now a branch "shinytest2" in which I have attempted to record two snapshot tests, but they are not yet reproducible.
