Problem with some concepts for crafting recipes

There's no option on here to make recipes like the cake. When crafting the cake you use 3 milk buckets right? Once crafted the 3 buckets will be given back in return. If there's a possible way to make it so there's an option to do that with other recipes that would be great, thanks!

As far as I know, it is not possible in 1.12 or 1.13. However you could give the player an invisible advancement on crafting the item, giving him back the concerned items and removing the advancement so the player can re-trigger the craft mechanic.
