Uni<Long> to Long or Long to Uni<Long>?

I wanted to implement a fairly simple check whether an Item already exists in a database.

        PanacheQuery<Category> existingCategory = Category.find("name", category.name);
        Uni<Long> existingCategoryCount = existingCategory.count();

        if (existingCategoryCount > 0L) {
               //Do Something
        }

Is there a way to do this or am I going down the wrong road here?
