smartIR : How to set the status to on/off when it has been triggered using an external remote

Hi,

I've set up some of these smartIR with some Broadlink RM4.
They work perfectly in HA.

My family however will still sometimes use the normal remote. To cater for these situation, i've installed some sensors on the aircon to tell me whether they are on or off, and this works perfectly. But how can I use this info to update the smartir component with its current status ?

What's the sensor in the AirCon that let you know if it is on or off?

It's a window open/close sensor that I've fitted on myself

Set the state of that windows to be the state on/off of SmartIR
